Get started with Mergepatrol
Try it
The hosted Mergepatrol at https://mergepatrol.ai runs the public GitHub App Mergepatrol. You bring your own model API key.
- Sign in with GitHub at https://mergepatrol.ai.
- Install the App on your organization or account, and choose its repos. GitHub sends you back to the dashboard.
- In Repos, Set up a repo. Mergepatrol opens a PR that adds its config file,
.mergepatrol/mergepatrol.yml. Merge it, and the repo queues. - In Settings, add an Anthropic or OpenAI API key. Create one for Mergepatrol alone, with a spend limit.
- Add the
mergepatrollabel to a PR, or queue it from the dashboard’s Queue page, which lists the open PRs below the queue. The dashboard puts the label on as you, so it takes triage access to the repo. - In You, see your open PRs in every repo, by whose move it is, and the PRs that ask for your review or your team’s, those the queue holds first. Approve, request changes or comment there, as you. A review waits 5 seconds before it goes to GitHub, so you can undo it.
Public repos are free. Private repos cost $15 a seat a month, after a free trial: see Pricing. To run your own, see Run it.
Docs
- How the merge queue works
What a queued PR needs, the agent that resolves conflicts and fixes failed checks, automatic review, branches, batches, stacks and PRs from forks.
- Configuration: .mergepatrol/mergepatrol.yml
Every setting in a repo's .mergepatrol/mergepatrol.yml: the label, batch size, the agent's model, verify commands, CI fixes, extra branches and review bars.
- Pricing
Mergepatrol is free on public repos. Private repos cost $15 a seat a month after a 14-day trial with no card. Self-hosting is free.
- MCP server and API
Let Claude Code, Codex or Cursor queue and review PRs through Mergepatrol's MCP server, or read a PR's queue state from the JSON API.
- Self-host Mergepatrol
Run the open-source Mergepatrol yourself with Docker Compose, configure it, bring your own GitHub App, and isolate its jobs in gVisor sandboxes.
